Massachusetts

After leaving Illinois Monday afternoon, making a pit stop in London, Canada that night, and crisscrossing through New York, I have successfully landed in Boston, MA.

I will remain here until the end of October!

Rolling In The Deep

This song by Adele has become one of my favorites to randomly bust out singing or quietly hum to myself.  Last night after a fantastic Pampered Chef party, us remaining three gals headed down the street to Music Lounge.  Thursday nights are karaoke night put on by a friend of my friend!

I have thought about doing karaoke so many different times but never actually got up and went solo at the mic.  With Rolling in the Deep always in the back of my mind, I felt it only appropriate that I give it a go!

Therefore, last night I officially did karaoke to Adele's song and it was really fun and super!  There was a great crowd and many others who put on great performances to different songs.  I believe that my first karaoke experience won't also be my last!

Maybe Not Funny

But the following facts are definitely quite interesting!

Don't worry about slipping or falling to your death at work, just carry a gun...the leading cause of on-the-job deaths in workplaces in America is homicide.

If you want to keep the Panama economy strong, buy a boat...the largest ocean liners pay a $250,000 toll for each trip through the Panama Canal. The canal generates fully one-third of Panama's entire economy.

Want super strong? A strand from the web of a golden spider is as strong as a steel wire of the same size.

Isn't it amazing what one can learn on a single website?  So incredibly neat!

Snapple Fact

While enjoying tasty sweet tea from Snapple, I came across a funnie for the day!

Did you know?

A rhinoceros horn is made out of compacted hair.

How neat and bizarre!

Funny Facts

I went stumbling today and have come across a super funny website that has hundreds of random facts!  Check in regularly for a new funnie!!

Here are some today:

-In a nod to astronauts, Texas is the only state that permits residents to cast absentee ballots from space.

-Albert Einstein never knew how to drive a car.

-A Swiss ski resort announced it would combat global warming by wrapping its mountain glaciers in aluminum foil to keep them from melting.

Pampered Chef

Do you love to eat?  I do.  I also love to cook the food that I eat.  Do you?

If you like food, then I believe that you should also have some simple tools to help you make your own tasty meals to enjoy!

I was a Pampered Chef consultant starting three years ago for about two years.  I was at that time unable to continue until about two weeks ago!  I have started my Pampered Chef business again!

As I am not always sure where I will be heading next or when, if you are interested in hosting a cooking show or even having a catalog show from afar, let me know!  I would love to help you out and get you some fabulous fun tools for your home and kitchen!

Let me know if you are interested so we can work together and help each other out!!  Thank you!

Chicago

I arrived here in Chicago yesterday afternoon.  On my way down here I was fortunate to stop by in Rockford and visit a super friend of mine!  Always great to catch up with friends when we see each other so irregularly.

I was almost to my friends' place when I was about to make a left turn and nearly got myself in a very very very bad accident.  It was my fault and I take the blame; however, I am just so thankful and relieved that the other vehicle did not hit me.  We both drove away.  He was very angry.

So, I did make it to K&J's safely and had a wonderful afternoon before other friends came over to enjoy some burgers before we headed out to a fantastic live theatrical production of Peter Pan.  The play was performed in a tent of sorts on a circular stage with the help of video graphics on the wall of the facility and contraptions to help the characters fly.  Was a unique and interesting way to see such a play.

It was an all-around good day (minus the near mishap) and will continue to enjoy Chicago while I'm here!  Not sure where to next or when, but if anyone has suggestions, let me know!

Tomorrow

It has been awhile since I went out on one of my adventures.  However, tomorrow I will begin one again.

As I wait to be invited to go to Africa for the Peace Corps in April, I will head out on the road seeking whatever finds me first.

First stop, Chicago.

Tomorrow I will go to Chicago to stay with friends and begin the first leg of this journey.  Follow me on here as I go!
